Chaos Clinic Recap

Here are Al's comments
3:31 done for the day; thanks for coming; see you next week; take a course; pray for volatility
3:27 aborted for 0-no go
3:19 one day head and shoulders pattern with neckline about 1335.5
3:15 stop tp 1337, just above the 110
3:11 last high was on 14:46 natural time. Next one is 15:47, a good time to cover
3:08 stop to 1337.5
3:06 minor high on Moon timeline suggests move to Moon fluxline near 1332
3:04 continuation sell on 20/110
2:52 still holding short
2:42 I'm debating covering and calling it quits
2:36 still in passing Moon timeline; stop held by 2 ticks
2:25 touched the 110 and was repelled
2:23 in electronics, this is called "popcorn noise"
2:18 watch for energy as we come to the Moon and Venus timelines
2:15 staying below the 55 EXMA
2:09 placing a buy limit 1332 order
2:03 may reach the Moon flux crossing near 1332
1:58 stop to 1338, just above the 110
1:54 recall that I thought the Moon and Venus times next hour might add some volatility
1:48 range so far today is 6.25 points - dismal
1:38 the rally had 7 small swings
1:34 peak was very near the Tide time, followed by a 20/110 sell-sold 1335.75 stop 1338.75
1:31 covered for +.5; may rebuy if it rallies
1:20 not exactly a rocket - but this trade is now free, so I'll wait
1:00 a common doubling of the early range would take prices to 1344
12:57 now patience will be rewarded-stop to 1337, break even
12:50 the hardest thing about a day like today is staying awake :)
to help with that, I have a basketball hoop just outside my back door. I can go shoot a few hoops and get some fresh air in just a few minutes.
12:48 on the MTRainbow chart, the 110 EXMA is steadily up
12:38 a continuation buy on the 20/110, in the second trade window -carrying through
12:35 also, from a a study I did using tools from the Chaos Trading Made Easy course, I know that if the market
holds up for 2.5 to 3 hours after an initial low, a second wave of buying often comes in.
12:31 the drop from yesterday was about five 3 point quantums. This suggests by Gann's rule of price square time
that it would take about 5 hours for the market to digest the drop- say form 8:30 to 13:30
12:26 the key Moon aspect today is Moon oppose Venus and Uranus. The earth
rotates the exchange past their timelines near 14:40; could add some Moon juice
12:21 I have posted a second FOP chart in the CCT Room
12:15 from the low I think I see a 3 moves, now in 4th, of an up Chaos Clamshell
12:08 coming into the second trade window-if this trade keeps working I will just carry it through
11:59 looking better-still holding my stop at 1335 for now - under the minor low before the last minor low
11:53 most of us are not patient; if we go to a restaurant and are told the wait is more than about 20 minutes, we are inclined to go elsewhere.
In daytrading, it takes 120 minutes for the earth to rotate through one signe (30 degrees) of the zodiac.
Typical fractals are 3 to 10 hours long
11:47 the trade is marginally profitable, stop is 2 points - be patient and accept the risk.
11:44 this is one of those trades that messes with your mind and gets you to focus on the little blips.
Beet thing to do is get a reasoanble stop, be patient, and not stare at the screen.
11:37 still OK at the 11:28 Tide time, so holding the trade
11:33 on the S&P Tide Tracker chart, the Tide Tracker cycle bottomed and turned up
11:30 in slow markets you have to be patient and move your stop slowly. Focus on the bigger picture and not the last minor move
11:25 the 110 EXMA is now up, supporting price
11:18 double top at Jupiter +J180 flux; 110 EXMA showing good upward "curl"
11:15 still OK, moving stop to 1335
10:56 still OK -taking a breakfast break-stop is in 10:45 stop to 1334
10:43 pressing a bit-bought 1337 stop 1333.25
10:41 I have placed a Fractal of Pi chart in the Certified Chaos Trader's Room. That room is open
to graduates of my 4 main courses. See http://moneytide.com -> Courses for details.
10:27 last minor high is 1337; a break of it by .5 should attract buying
10:33 any buy could be protected with a stop at 1333.25, .5 under the low
10:27 passing the exact Trade time-110 EXMA is down, 20 is up; need both up for a buy;
a continuation sell looks to have marginal profit potential
10:25 new marginal low shows not much follow through, so probing for a bottom
10:13 low so far is on the Pluto +P270 flux; Moon applying conjoin to Neptune/Chiron gives support near 1332
10:11 the Consumer Sentiment report is little changed and in the concensus range, so no "surprise" energy
10:04 the Moon +T000 electric field flux line near 1331.25 is likely support
9:57 testing early low
9:52 my plan is to wait until after the 10:25 Tide Time for an entry, if any
9:48 the MTRainbow chart shows a sizable overnight drop wih widely diverged EXMAs. MNy reading is that the market
will try to recover, but end flat to down.
9:43 today's trades are at 10:25 and 12:50. Intraday volatility has been low, so today may be hard to trade.
9:43 Good Morning. Welcome to the Chaos Clinic. This site has a lot of charts,
so you may find it useful to have several of them available within your
browser. If you have a tabbed browser, you can open separate charts
in separate tabs by right clicking on any link, and selecting "open in new tab"
from the menu. The main list of site pages is at
http://daytradingforecasts.com/chartlistsec.asp
Recommended main pages to watch are SPKISS, MTRainbow, and Chat.
For astro stuff, add SPSunMoonMer, Wheel, and Chaos Clinic.
Chaos clinic comments appear at the bottom of the SPKISS, MTRainbow,
and ChaosClinic pages. Comments in the chat room are announced by a
"duck call" noise. This noise also occurs when the sofware detects a
resonant hex pattern on the Wheel page. Trading tutorials
are on the righty side of the ListOfCharts page. One should
read Trading the MoonTide Tutorial and Keep it Simple as a minimum.

Besides the comments made by Al, the chat room is has live
comments from other traders who sometimes share their views,
trades and tips. Below are the chat room comments from this clinic

2/10/2012 1:24:47 PM MT mm****:: the MT projected CIT were reliable today
2/10/2012 11:06:41 AM MT BBB****:: And I know you have mentioned Wave 59 a lot in the material.
2/10/2012 10:51:11 AM MT BBB****:: Al, does the Xtide2 differ from Wave59s Market astrophysics software? They have a harmonic Index that seems to be similar?
2/10/2012 7:39:58 AM MT BBB****:: I was right there iwth you on that sell yday morning and got stopped on the high tick. As I was entering my stop I was going to widen it a bit, but stuck with 3. Oh well.
2/10/2012 7:35:46 AM MT Tg****:: I find that one of the most difficult thinks about trading in lower volatility is that the risk/reward isn't nearly as good as during high volatility periods. Yesterday, for example met my criteria of likely being larger than a 9 point daily range thus, at least decent volatility. I sold 1346 near 9:50 and got stopped out for -3 on a head fake. Then later decided to resell and broke even for that trade time. Really, my stop needed to be about 4 points which was as large as my profit target, hence a 1 to 1 risk/reward ratio, which isn't particulary favorable.
2/10/2012 7:25:42 AM MT Tg****:: Lastly, there are techniques in Al's CTME course that can help to put a probability on whether or not the size of the daily range will be worthwhile enough to trade that day and what the maximum size of top to bottom moves are likely to be.
2/10/2012 7:15:12 AM MT Tg****:: further to Al's comments about volatility. No doubt about it, our instincts are to work harder to make more coin in lower volatility by really we need to be way more selective on what trades to take or even what days not to trade at all unless you have a very different strategy for how to turn winning trades in a very small range environment.
2/10/2012 7:11:02 AM MT Tg****:: Xtide 2 plus really got the tone of the past week right.
2/10/2012 7:10:36 AM MT BBB****:: Xtide has been amazing lately. I don't have that much money but would love to understand it more.
2/10/2012 7:07:24 AM MT Al****:: GM all-good luck today
2/10/2012 7:01:09 AM MT BBB****:: Good luck today.
2/10/2012 5:45:35 AM MT mm****:: gm all - let's hope for some nice volatility for the clinic - have a great day
